The Writing Center is a welcoming place for you to gain advice on any writing assignment regardless of the course or topic. Whether you are just beginning an assignment or are in the final stages of a project, we can help! Undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty use this free academic support service to workshop papers for their academic courses, creative writing, speeches, presentations, course syllabi, and articles intended for publication. It is the Writing Center’s philosophy that improved writing skills lead to educational and professional success in college and beyond.
Please visit the "Scheduling an Appointment" page to book your appointment in advance using our new online system. However, no appointment is necessary...simply walk in the door during our regular business hours to be seen on a first come, first served basis. Writing consultations are free! One session per day is allowed.
Group Papers: Please note that the Writing Center consultants cannot edit papers; thus, all group members must be present in order for the session to proceed. Please book your appointments in advance! Should you have any questions, please contact the director under the Contact Us link.
Hours for In-Person Consultations: June 10 to July 31, 2013
Sunday: 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 12:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Closed: Saturday, the final day of class, finals week, intersession, university sanctioned holidays, & whenever the university is closed.
Writing Consultants can only work on one paper per session!
