Michael Frizell is the Director of Student Learning Services at Missouri State University and holds an MA in Theatre and an MA in Creative Writing from Missouri State University and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He is the editor of The Learning Assistance Review, the peer reviewed journal of the National College Learning Center Association where he also holds the position of vice president, a staff writer for Tidal Wave Comics, writing graphic novels in their fiction and nonfiction lines, and an associate editor for Oghma Creative Media. His graphic novel, bender, about the infamous Bender family from Southeast Kansas, is currently being serialized by Skye Press in their magazine, Saddlebag Dispatches, and will be reprinted in hardcover early next year.
